Our e-bikes and scooters are made from high-quality materials such as pine wood, teak and African mahogany. The baskets are made by local tribal members and add an authentic touch to our products.

Special features of our e-bikes and scooters
This is the mold of the base of the BatuBike and one of the laminated parts as it comes out of the mold once the epoxy has cured.
It is basically a sandwich of several 4 mm thick strips of different types wood with fiberglass in between each wood strip. In the wood strips of the middle we used very light pine wood and a wood called Caixeta (Tabebuia cassinoides) to keep the bike as light aspossible and the outer layer is hardwood like Teak or African Mahogany or Ipé (Tabebuia spp., Bignoniaceae) a extremely hard and resistant wood dark brown with slight greenish shine common in Brazil.
This type of manufacturing makes for extremely strong and resistant frame of the E Bike and as its treated for rot and totally covered in Epoxy, absolutely weather resistant and common in boatbuilding.
